ASSINGMENTS
MOTION ASSIGNMENT
Summary:
I choose to photograph Union Station. I had to focus on motion for this assignment and travel is a great representation of people in motion. I tried to capture the chaos of travel, as well as, the normality of travel in 10 photos. All of my photos were shot in manual settings and a tripod was used.

PORTRAIT ASSIGNMENT
Summary:
I choose to take portrait photos of my friends on a winter, sunny Saturday playing outside. I choose to use natural light for all of my photos because shooting with natural light during the day is a challenge. All of my photos were shot all in manual. I wanted to show the youthfulness, energetic and happiness that college life brings my friends.

HUMAN EVIDENCE ASSIGNMENT
Summary:

For this project I had a couple ideas about what human evidence was. I played with a few ideas before settling on graffiti. I first shot tracks in the snow, however, I did not like how you could barely see the tracks. The snow made the picture overall too white making the picture very boring. Graffiti is a great representation of human evidence. Graffiti is interesting because its art that people have created freely and a representation of how creative humans can be. I wanted to shoot graffiti, not only cause it shows that humans were once there, but the creative marks that they created for others to enjoy. I wanted to show the creative impact that the murals have on the Rino District and how they have uplifted and created a welcoming place for others to walk around the area and enjoy the art. In these photos I wanted to capture the beauty that people have left behind. I tried to capture the entire mural in some and in other photos I was able to compose the photo where majority of the mural was in the photograph or what I thought was the most important part of the mural. Color was a major contributor to choosing which mural I wanted to photograph. Some of the murals are darker than others and as a series I wanted to have both vibrant and darker photos to show the emotion behind each artists creation.
